The first-ever American auction to entirely feature the French phenomena named Bleuette is the content of this book whose focus includes 50 different models of the doll, along with more than 150 different costumes and accessories.

Created in 1905, Bleuette now celebrates her 100th birthday. The little doll was presented by the prestigious French publishing house, Gautier-Languereau, and was only available from them through subscription to their children's magazine La Semaine de Suzette.

So wildly successful was the little doll in its 1905 initial presentation that she was quickly sold-out, and variations on the original model appeared. At first Gautier-Languereau offered sewing patterns for the doll in their magazine, but quickly they saw the potential in offering ready-made clothing.

It is those dolls, their costumes, and their catalogs that collectors seek in all their infinite variety.
