Item Notes: The Complete Works of Robert Burns in six volumes. Illustrated with 60 etchings, wood cuts and facsimiles. Copyright 1886 by Gebbie & Company, Copyright 1908 by Karl A Arvidson, Copyright 1909 by James L Perkins and Company. This is "The Ayshire Edition de Luxe, Limited to One Thousand Numbered Copies, of which this is Number 854" (from volume one inside flyleaf). The set is in reasonably good condition, with the notable exception of Vol. 1, the cover of which has separated from the binding, a clean separation which might be repaired with cloth tape by a knowledgeable restorer. Covers have a few minor dings, the books appear to have been library copies of some unknown wealthy family. From the estate of a collector of first editions and rare works. We do permit returns in the unlikely event the condition doesn't meet with your satisfaction, although shipping is non-refundable. Questions should be e-mailed as early as possible, as we do NOT work weekends.
