Greetings fellow Red Wing Collectors!

The long awaited Red Wing Collectors Society (RWCS) 30th Anniversary (1977-2007) Book is here. This is a great milestone in our organizations history. This book is dedicated to all the members, those that remember the first gathering in 1977 at the Goodhue County Historical Society and to all who have come to know and love Red Wing pottery over its long history. You have collected to keep this history alive.

Over the years the Red Wing Collectors Society has had so many leaders, volunteers, officers, managers support positions, and office staff to keep what started out as a few hundred turn into something great. All of you have made the RWCS to be a strong-if not the strongest-collectors group in the Nation. This is something for the entire membership to be proud of.

Currently, there are more than 5,000 members nationwide. Over the many years of the RWCS existence so much information has been discovered, great pieces have been found and breathtaking collections have been formed. We now have Stoneware, Art Pottery and Dinnerware Experts, a wonderful museum for members and visitors to Red Wing alike to enjoy, but most of all we have the joy of camaraderie among fellow collectors.

This book not only includes the unique history of the potteries in Red Wing, the RWCS history, but countless pictures and stories submissions from RWCS members. These stories and pictures show the passion of members for their collections, provide a way to share their love of Red Wing, and most of all give them a place to tell their Red Wing story. On behalf of the RWCS Board of Directors and membership THANK YOU for sharing your stories.

Once again, on behalf of the membership and the RWCS Board of Directors I want to thank everyone who had a part in making this book such a spectacular venture for the Society. Enjoy!
